Salesmanship

Congratulations and welcome! You have made a very important life changing decision, by becoming an Independent Business Owner (IBO). Together with other IBO’s we will make our goals, our dreams, our aspirations in life, a reality.

But first, you must believe in yourself, you can do it! Secondly, you must have the confidence to make it happen. Thirdly, associate yourself with SPIOP's (Subject to the Positive Influence of Other People)  and not with SNIOP's (Subject to the Negative Influence of Other People).

How do you build your confidence?
  • Knowledge of the products
  • Knowledge of our unique marketing and compensation plan
  • Knowledge of basic marketing and sales techniques
But before anything else, If you opted to have your personalized Moringa e-store blogsite, the first thing you need to do is to go to your blogsite and familiarize yourself and navigate all the contents. View the educational videos and learn.

What are the advantages of having a blogsite:
  • You have product exposure 24/7/365 days a year and you do not pay anything, except for the one time set up cost
  • You can always direct your friends or prospective Sub-IBO’s (Sub-Distributors) to learn more about Moringa, it acts as your information bulletin and as a sales or product presentor without you doing a lot of talking
  • It is a store where your friends and customers can buy products without you paying rent space for the display of your products
  • Your blogsite extends your reach to regional, national and even global markets
  • It projects a good image about your business and a sense of professionalism
Condition for use:
Do not use your blog to spam. Spaming is illegal any violation of this condition shall automatically and permanently disqualify you from our affiliate program.

Do I have to learn all of this?
Everybody is different, some would like to do it, at a slower pace, and some would like to do it at a faster pace. Some would like to learn just enough, some would like to go into more details. Whichever course you want to take, this site is available as an important reference tool. What I want you to do at this time is to save this site to your favorites or bookmark this site.

There are a lot of people in our business who are off on a fast start that are blowing and going. On the other hand, there are people who understand the product and the distribution and marketing plan a lot better but are not having the same success.

You must fully understand what is activity versus productivity. Activity is just doing the busy stuff.

Productivity is simply exposing people to our products and our business model. Anything else is activity. Earn while you learn! Being new, work closely with the person who introduced you to the business.

The most important message here is to present the business as simple as possible. Remember the key to success in this business is DUPLICATION! The simpler it is presented, the easier it is DUPLICATED!

The excellent marketing tools and support that the company provide make it easier to grow your business. With your blogsite, you do not even have to talk, just provide the link and your blog will speak on your behalf.  Can you do this? If you can, you are in business!

Being Coachable
If you are not teachable and if you think you know it all, then there is no room for growth for you! “If you are green you are growing, if you are ripe you are rotten”

You have to be prepared to receive or else you will not receive what you need in order to take your business to the next level. Many are called but few are chosen.

The calling is you have been invited to see the opportunity. You chose because you saw something in this for you. But what follows the choosing? It is the preparation. The preparation for your destiny. It is preparing for the future that awaits you. To accomplish great things you must be a part of something bigger than yourself.

Everybody has a rookie year. Even Tiger Woods or Michael Jordan had their rookie year. You have a choice to stay teachable and be teachable. Just copy and model success and this is what we hope to do and hope to accomplish.

There are three variables to your success:
  1. The Company
  2. The Product
  3. The You Factor
The most you have impact over is…. which one? Of course it is the You Factor!

An example: There was a guy named Joe Tillman who is from Phoenix. He is averaging $500 a week gross profit, from his retail outlets. He started the business about two months ago and he is 74 years of age, and he is having that type of success. If there is somebody in Miami or Texas not having the same type of success can they blame the company or the product? Do they have a different product in Miami or Texas? Is the compensation plan the same, whether your are a male or a female?

The only thing that is different is the You Factor. What is important, is really understanding how you can become a better and a productive person. A lot of people believe, that in life, whatever they want to accomplish, they need to understand the actions, and that the actions will create the results. Which means if they can figure out the actions this will equal the results.

That is not really where you need to start, because where it really starts is in your mind your beliefs! Your beliefs, will determine your thoughts, your thoughts will then have an impact on what decisions you make, your decisions will create your actions and in the end your actions will create results. We need to focus on your beliefs, your mind set, in this business

ATTITUDE is everything!

Some beliefs are empowering and some of them disempowering. Some examples of a disempowering beliefs are: I am not smart enough, I am lazy, life sucks, if it rains it pours. These beliefs are not helping us in life.

We must adopt empowering beliefs . Read books (Think and grow rich, Rich Dad poor Dad, etc.). Association is a big part as well. Spending time with successful people.

When you have some questions or doubts or concerns about your business, talk to other Independent Business Owners (IBO’s), they will be able to help you resolve your concerns or other issues.

The 80/20 rule
80% of your business will come from the top 20% of your customers or Sub-IBOs or Retailers. Concentrate on the 20% to motivate and inspire the 80%.

If you have success you will be an inspiration to other IBO’s. You will be able to motivate other IBO’s to work hard, to share the business, to teach the health benefits of our products. This will be evident by the repeat orders you get from your customers or retailers.

Avoiding common pitfalls
Momentum killers
Do not over analize the business.

Procastination!
Make a to do list. You need to set aside hours of operation. When do you open your business and when do you close your business. If you are doing it part time, I recommend a minimum 5-7 hours a week. Spend weekdays calling or e-mailing your relatives, friend, office workers sharing your blogsite, ask for referrals, ask them to forward your blog to those people who they think can benefit from your product. The key is to have a set time to do productive work.

Plan your day
At work educate co-workers about our products. Going home from work pass by a retail outlet which you think will be able to help you grow your business. Leave a poster, leave your business card, direct them to your blogsite/website, educate your retailers, emphasize on the additional revenue they can earn.  Let them know that you will direct and customers to their store and be able to increase traffic.

Project excitement and enthusiasm in presenting your product. Feel and act confident, do not be afraid. If you do not know the answer to a question respond by saying that is a great question hold on a second let us find out together. Do a 3 way call with the person who introduced you to the business and learn from this experience. If you are unable to reach other IBO’s to help you, tell your customer or retailer you will get back to them with the answers. Get the answers and get back with the person. This is good business practice “excellent customer service”. This business is simple and duplicatable you need to present this in a way where people would say, you know what, I can do this!

Master Networker
Some of the common situations you will experience in this business are: rejection, redicule, violent opposition, even from your own relatives.

A major barrier to many peoples success in marketing is putting too much faith and hope in their small network of relatives, friends and associates. What if your close relationships don’t join you or buy from you? Commit to get better, quitting should never be an option. Learn from your mistake.

What should you do when you run out of friends and families to call?
You must learn how to talk to strangers. The fact is there are more people that you do not know than the people you know. If you know how to sell to strangers you will always have financial security. Be polite and professional, people will give you referrals if you are likeable and professional.

You must have a system or a process
Target people who are influential opinion makers, specially in the health sector, doctors, nurses, care givers, etc., Make a friend, plant a seed and follow-up.  Our resources are really unlimited, you must get their phone, their e-mails in order to be able to folow-up. Be excited, build enthusiasm!

Probe basic needs of your prospects
The acronym FORM stands for:
  • Family
  • Occupation
  • Recreation
  • Money
Identify Need (listen); Satisfy Need (response)
*Scenarios (Y) is You; (P) is Prospect

Family
Y: How is your family? Do you spend quality time with them?
P: I rarely have enough time to spend with my family.
Y: What if I can show you how you will be able to spend more time with your family will you be interested? Can you give me 10 minutes of your time?

Occupation
Y: How is work? Are you making enough money?
P: Sometimes it is hard to make both ends meet, I cannot even save.
Y: What if I can show you how you can make extra money would you be interested? Can you give me 10 minutes of your time

Recreation
Y: Do you travel or any hobbies?
P: I do not have enough day offs nor time to do such things.
Y: What if I can show you how to work less and earn more would you be interested? Can you give me 10 minutes of your time?

Money
Y: If I were to ask you what you want to have right now what would it be?
P: A dependable car.
Y: If I can show you how you will be able to earn extra money to pay for a new car, would you be interested? Can you give me 10 minutes of your time?

Marketing Tools
      Personalized blogsite
      Business Presentation Links
      Power Point Presentations
      Flyers
      Brochures
      Posters
      Print Ads
      TV Ads

Enthusiasm, I am sold myself.
This is an important quality. It puts fire in the belly. It helps customers to buy. Make a friend, that is the goal. Look for an opening or create an opening. Ask questions. What do you do for a living? What do you do for fun? Ask open ended questions not answerable by yes or no in order to start a conversation.

Private Business Reception (PBR) Home setting
Plan for a combined PBR with other IBO’s to invite their friends and your friends at home, have a tea party using our Moringa Tea. The atmosphere of group dynamics is powerful, the energy level as group move prospects to take action! Show a power point presentation and introduce your products to your invited friends and relatives. If you want to serve snacks make it simple.
If guests brought their small children, it is wise to put them in another room and have friend or family member to watch them, to avoid distractions during the presentation.

Ask your guest to come 30 minutes before the presentation so you can talk and introduce them to other guest. Create an ideal business atmosphere.

Make a checklist of all the things you need. Setup computer, projector, product displays, product handouts, early before your guests arrive.

Ask other IBO’s to be there as a support and reinforce the confidence of your prospective Sub-Distributors. Ask one of the IBO’s to act as an usher for late comers so as not to distract the presentation. Start on time to be fair to the guests who arrived on time. PBR is the most practical, cost effective and most duplicateable way of launching your business. Home PBR should be well organized to avoid distractions during presentations.

Presentation
Presentor should be introduced by another IBO. He must edify the presentor. Presentor should introduce himself, state name, what you do for a living, how you got started with the business, why you like it.

Explain in brief what will transpire:
  • Business opportunity power point
  • Presentation of products
  • Marketing and compensation plan
  • IBO testimonials (products/business)
  • IBO and guest  (Q & A)
Testimonials should be short and to the point, it should help your guest establish confidence in the product and the business. Facts tell but stories sell!

Closing question
What is the first question you ask your prospective Sub-IBO’s or guests after the power point presentation?

What did you like about the presentation?
Listen to the response. Ask, tell me more about that? At this stage you are trying to probe. What it will take to make this person to be a Sub-IBO? Hit on the hot buttons! Hand out an application form and ask, when do you want to start? Pause. Let him think and keep quiet. Get all pertinent information.

PBR (Private rooms in hotels or restaurants)
The other way to jump start our business transitioning from a home setting, is to organize and conduct PBR's at hotels or restaurants. As IBO’s increase in numbers, the need to network is very important. This may entail some cost on room rentals but a very good venue for IBOs and customers to meet and fellowship learn and share new exciting things, success stories and hear great testimonials that increases and reinforces everybody’s confidence. The common practice is to split the cost of rental among the IBO’s who are willing to participate and bring guests

One-on-One (Any quiet place)
This setting gives you more time to answer personal questions. You might need a laptop computer to do a power point presentation, however, in the absence of a laptop, IBO should prepare a presentation binder or a brochure and be able to discuss the product, the marketing strategies and the compensation plan. If you are not ready to do a one-on-one seek the help of a co-IBO who can do it initially and observe how it is being presented.

Online Presentation
This is very ideal for customers or prospective IBO's who are out-of-state or are too busy to spend time with you face to face.

Strictly follow these instructions in doing an online presentation:
  1. Setup an appointment for your prospect to be at home at the prospect's most convenient time.
  2. Call your prospect by phone and tell your prospect that you will e-mail a site that he/she needs to look at. E-mail your blogsite/website link.
  3. Instruct your prospect to click the link that you e-mailed and ask your prospect to call you back once he/she is done viewing the presentation.
  4. When your prospect call you back. The first question you need to ask is: What did you like about the presentation? At this point you are probing, trying to find out what his/her specific interest or need and concentrate in re-enforcing and satisfying this interest or need.
  5. Proceed to handle all questions, clarification or objections. Once you have handled all questions and concerns. Close the prospect by placing the initial order of 20 bottles of Moringa Capsules. Be sure to get all important information that you will need to complete the enrollment and ordering the products. You can also tell your prospect to place the initial order through your blogsite and help the prospect throughout the whole process or you can get all their credit card information and place the order for them. If you are not yet confident to answer all objections or clarifications, ask some IBO’s to help you out by doing a 3 way calling with your prospect.
Three Most Common Objections and How to Answer or Handle these Objections:
     • No time
     • No Money
     • Don’t Know How to Do It

Respond by using the Feel, Felt, Found technique

No Time
P: I have no time
Y: I know how you feel, I felt the same way too, but I found out….. That merely organizing my time I was able to make a significant amount of money working part time in this type of business. I converted my unproductive time to productive time. I was able to direct my efforts to do less and earn more!

No Money
P: I have no money to order the products right now
Y: I know how you feel, I felt the same way too, but I found out….. That I need to think like a businessman! In order to make money I have to invest money. But what is great about this business is, I did not invest a fortune! Let me put this in another way, if I allowed my $200.00 to sit on my savings account and at the end of the year earn cents in interest. Would I rather not invest my $200.00 and make a gross profit of $300.00 just sharing these with my friends and relatives, maybe in a month or two months? Would your boss afford to give you an increase of $300.00 a month? As you grow the business you will find out that this is possible! If you are motivated and have the will to do it, I am sure you will make it happen!

I Do Not Have The Skills To Do It
P: Don’t Know How to Do It
Y: I know how you feel, I felt the same way too, but I found out….. When I was starting with this business I did not know anything. But I found out that it is a very simple business. I learn at the same time earn! The best thing about our business model is, people make money by helping other people make money. Therefore I make money if I help you make money. I felt so motivated that in no time I learned all I need to know from other IBO’s. This business is about sharing and earning!

I Am Not A Salesperson
P: I am a very shy person, not a salesperson
Y: I know how you feel, I felt the same way too when I started. However, I found out that I will be able to present the product and the business opportunity without doing a sales pitch or saying a single word, thanks to our blogsite. I just e-mail them my link, ask them to read and view the information and videos, and that’s it!

Inviting objection
P: I want to know what is this about before I attend your business meeting?
Y: It will take 15 to 20 minutes to explain everything and it is very visual. I will not do you justice if I am not able to tell you everything you need to know, trust me on this come and all your questions and concerns will be answered.

Price Objection
P: How much is one Moringa bottle?
Y: Would you like to buy it at wholesale price or retail price? (Of course wholesale price)
What if I can tell you that you can buy it at wholesale price and at the same time make money sharing this to your friends! Build your business and earn residual income! Would you be interested to become an IBO?

P: I find Moringa expensive!
Y: If you are taking Vitamin A, C, D, E, minerals and food supplemnts right now, chances are you are taking four, five or more pills.  Moringa has all these necessary  vitamins, nutrients, amino acids, anti-oxidants and slove a lot of health issues in one pill. I am sure you will agree with me taking one pill in place of 4-5 pills is more money to your pocket and more convenient.

Marketing and Distribution Strategy
The first strategy is the power of “word of mouth” advertising or sometimes called Direct Selling. People trust the word of their friends, relatives, health care physicians, etc., our job is to talk about our products, do PBR’s, 1-on-1 and other promotional activities previously mentioned. This is the basic step to grow your business.

In one of the business presentation slides you saw how the “potential of exponential growth” can do. Numbers won’t lie, if you are able to follow this simple strategy and work consistently, the numbers and the money will follow.
The second strategy is converting consumers to IBO’s. Stories sell, nobody can give a very powerful testimony other than the person who experienced the benefits of Moringa. Convert consumers to Independent Business Owners, this is how you will be able to leverage other people’s time and effort and grow your business dramatically.
The third strategy is referrals from company print and media ads response, there will be an IBO Coordinator who will be in charge of directing referral calls. Our overall goal is to establish retail outlets (pharmacy, retail stores, food supplement and health stores, etc.) or any store willing to stock our products. These retailers would be our distribution outlets.

How to set up a retailer:
• Present the product, and pricing structure
• Emphasize the profitability of the product and repeat orders
• Emphasize driving traffic and business to their stores
• Ask permission to post a Moringa Poster
• Sell or consign at least two bottles with a re-purchase guaranty
• Leave some business cards
• Get basic info about the store:
 Name of the store, address, phone number
           Name of contact person
           Store hours
Pricing Strategy:
As an IBO your purchase price is between $12.00 if you purchased the Business Builder Pack (20 bottles) and the suggested retail price is $25.00. As an IBO if you directly retail your products to customers or consumers your return on investment (ROI) is between more than 100%.  However if you sell it to your retailers for $15.00 then your return would only be 25%.

If you decided to purchase the IBO Business Builder Pack, you have the ability to establish a network of IBOs. There are some people due to financial limitations would might not be able to afford or start with the IBO-Business Builder Pack (20 Bottles), offer a lower package and they become your Sub-IBO's (Executive and Affiliates).  The difference in price will be your gross margin, you might get a lower return, but the exponential power for growth as seen on the slide is phenomenal!
We are partly in the "Direct Selling" and the "Networking" industry.  Unlike multi-level or network marketing, the standard marketing models will require you to purchase a sizeable amount of inventory based on different packages. Start up cost can range from a minimum of $700-$2,000.00. These companies will also require an auto-ship, meaning you are forced to buy products to maintain your position and avoid losing some of the commissions on hold until you fulfill rigorous requirements.  Sadly, if you do not meet the monthly requirements your pending commissions will be “flushed” meaning you  just lost your hard earned commissions. Auto-ship or monthly maintenance can cost a Distributor an additional $250-$350 a month. In addition there are so many complex conditions you have to satisfy in order to make money. This is the main reason why a lot of Distributors from these Multi-level Marketing companies just quit. These Distributors end up painting a bad picture or image about the company and the industry.

Our business model is so simple. Minimal start up cost, no monthly maintenance. Simply said, you set your own goal, how much you want to earn or how big do you want to build your business. There are two ways how you can accomplish this, alone or with others you have a choice!  There is saying that goes like this, "If you want to go fast do it alone, if you want to go far do it with others".
